Well Gallimore traveled to Columbus, Ohio on Sunday to participate in the Nike Camp in an area that is usually known for producing linemen (Midwest).
If anything, Gallimore was more impressive in person. He's massive. His back is something one could project a movie across. We knew he had good lateral movement because of his junior video, but a lot of times he was coming from a standup end or outside linebacker position. Yes, 6'3/300+ and he's coming from the outside.
On Sunday, Gallimore moved inside to line up at defensive tackle in the one on one pass rushing drill that emphasizes quickness over brute force, and Gallimore shined.
It wasn't just his raw athleticism and size that was so impressive though, Gallimore showed off a variety of moves with his quick hands. He could get a quick punch to the chest and employ a swim or rip move going up and under, around and through his blockers.
After getting to see the Canadian in person for the first time, Gallimore was elevated in the Scout 100, and that still might not be high enough as we see more over him through the summer, fall, and hopefully All-Star games in January.
Enough teams were convinced early on, that Gallimore has a host of scholarship offers including Ohio State, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Florida, Michigan State, Oregon, UCLA, Penn State, and Florida State among others.
Here is a look at his performance at the Nike Camp held at Ohio State on Sunday.
