Sirmon to Camp with UCLA

The Wenatchee (Wash.) linebacker, Cy Sirmon, plans to camp with UCLA this month after already visiting earlier this summer...

Wenatchee (Wash.) linebacker Cy Sirmon (6-2.5, 230) was one of the top prospects at the NW Elite Football Camp last weekend.

"It was my first camp of the season and I felt like I did well," said Sirmon. "I just needed to get some rust off."

Sirmon also visited Utah and Utah State earlier this week.

With offers from Montana and Idaho, a number of schools are showing interest in him.

"Utah State has been talking to me a lot and Utah has too," said Sirmon. "Washington, Washington State, Stanford, Cal, USC, UCLA and Boise State all came by in the spring."

Sirmon visited USC and UCLA earlier in the spring.

"I went to USC to see my uncle (linebackers coach Peter Sirmon) and the staff, but didn't really tour the school," said Sirmon.

At UCLA, though, he got to visit the school, tour the campus and meet with the coaches.

"UCLA was more a recruiting visit," said Sirmon. "I talked with Coach Tui (Mike Tuiasosopo) and Coach Angus (McClure) and talked a lot with Coach (Jim) Mora. We talked about Seattle and the weather and it was fun. Coach (Jeff) Ulbrich said they have a middle linebacker committed (Victor Alexander), but they want me to come down to camp."

Sirmon is also planning to camp with USC that week and plans to visit Boise State, Montana, and Idaho this summer.
