Brandt camped at Alabama in mid-June and the performance in Tuscaloosa landed him an offer from the Tide.
"Getting an offer from them, I can't even explain it, but it was a crazy feeling that one of the top coaches (Nick Saban) in the nation wants me to play for his university," said Brandt. "I went out there just to camp and to learn from one of the best schools that there is and for Coach Saban to offer me was amazing."
Brandt camped at UCLA's Elite Skills Camp next.
"I went to UCLA's 1-Day Camp and that was great," said Brandt. "I mostly spent my time with Coach (Jeff) Ulbrich and he taught me a lot. I had a lot of fun hanging out with him. He took me on a personal tour of the campus and it was great. I talked briefly with Coach (Jim) Mora too. We spent a lot of time walking around the majority of the campus. I worked out at outside linebacker at the camp and I thought I did pretty well."
Then Brandt rounded out his camp visits with USC's Rising Stars Camp.
"I did the overnight camp with USC and I had a really good time there," said Brandt. "I had a good time working with Coach (Peter) Sirmon and Coach (Justin) Wilcox and learning their schemes of their defense and how they coach. I got a chance to talk with Coach Sark (Steve Sarkisian) when I first got there and he just told me to have a good camp."
"I've spoken quite a bit with Notre Dame and I'd say they're probably the closest school to offering (next)," said Brandt.
Brandt said that at each camp he went to, he worked out as an outside linebacker.
"Each of the camps had me working separately with the outside linebackers and they're recruiting me as a hybrid pass rusher," said Brandt.
With his camp slate done, Brandt's attention is turning to Windward.
"I'm done with college camps so it will be nice to relax but then we have our OTAs for school so it's not a long break," said Brandt. "I don't really have any plans to visit any other schools this summer."
