With the Elite 11 a part of The Opening later this week, Rosen is looking forward to welcoming in more players, particularly UCLA recruits as the week goes on.
But he's enjoying the moment right now.
"It's awesome to just be here," said Rosen. "We're meeting a bunch of new people, getting great coaching and getting loaded up with Nike gear. I'm making a bunch of new friends that I'll take on beyond here."
Rosen, though, has a couple of guys he's going to talk with that will arrive in Beaverton on Monday.
"I'm not really working on anyone too hard, but, I'm still talking to Christian Kirk and Cordell Broadus," said Rosen. "The Opening is a cool experience so I'm out here for the experience rather than trying to work on guys, but I'll definitely talk with some about UCLA." Rosen, though, said he's excited about some potential new additions to UCLA. "Coach (Adrian) Klemm has done an awesome job with some linemen and we're trying to keep it under wraps, but I think he's got some guys ready to make moves," said Rosen.
With several college players serving as counselors this week, Rosen said he's gotten to learn from them.
"The counselors are sharing their experiences from being here and being in college and it's just cool to be a part of a group that has been here," said Rosen.
He's also looking forward to getting back with Bosco when the event concludes.
"We're looking to repeat and if I wasn't looking to repeat, I don't think I'd belong at anything to play football," said Rosen. "But this season will definitely be fun and we're going to be hucking the ball."
Rosen was on Scout's Top 5 for Day One of the Elite 11 Finals.
