Position: Defensive End
Height/Weight: 6'4", 265

Excited to be at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center? - “Yes sir. This is the first time. I think it’s nice. The field is nice, nice place to play football at, it’s beautiful.”

Since this is media day, starting to get excited for the season? - Yes, most definitely. It’s my senior year, I have a lot of buddies and it’s their senior year. It’s time to put Lakes back on the map. The last few years it’s been shaky and it’s time to turn that around.”

What have you been doing this off-season to get ready? - “It’s constant running, constant conditioning, and then it’s hitting the weight room really hard at school with my team. And then when I go home I go to the gym and do extra work, trying to do more than others and separate myself.”

Any lifting/workout measurements you can share? - “Right now my bench max is 415 (pounds), my squat max is 450. My clean max is 285. My 40 is 4.65 and my vert is 37 (inches). That’s about it.”

Have you and Lakes penciled in any games this year you’re looking forward to more than most? - “Yes. The first game, CP (Clover Park). It’s our rival and it’s our first time playing them in a while and then our fourth game, which is Peninsula. We completely hate them and it’s time to put them in the dirt.”

Planning on making a college decision before or after your season? - “I’m waiting right now until after the season.”

What colleges are you seriously considering right now? - “To be honest right now, I like UCLA, U-Dub, Oregon, ASU, Oregon State. That’s my top-5. My first visit is on September 14th (to UCLA). I’m going to start visiting throughout my senior year. I’m going to base my decision on how my visits go.”

Do you have any other visits planned? - “I might be going to USC in February. I’m not sure when.”

Any schools standing out from the five you mentioned? - “I’m trying to keep my doors open, but UCLA is standing out, U-Dub is standing out, Oregon is standing out.”

Give one quick thought about each school - “UCLA, their program is in a building process right now. They have a lot of good recruits coming in. They idolize their freshmen, they have a freshmen pack, they use them very wise. U-Dub, it’s close to home and the new coaching staff I love ‘em. I know the players already, it’s as if I’m already family with them. Oregon, they are a fast team; they are also close. They are building and they are a great program.”
