Arizona Athlete Names Six

The running back/linebacker from Arizona, Dedrick Young, has a good mix of Pac-12 and Big Ten schools on his list of finalists...

After narrowing his list of potential schools to 13 a couple of months ago,

Peoria (Az.) Centennial RB/LB Dedrick Young has narrowed his list of schools to six finalists.

The three-star linebacker/running back raked in offers from Nebraska, UCLA, Michigan State, Nevada, Colorado State, Utah, Oregon State, Northwestern, Arizona State, Colorado, Washington, Cal and Arizona.

He announced Wednesday that Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan State, Nebraska, UCLA and Washington would be the schools he will ultimately choose from.

On Arizona: "I like the coaches, the school and what they got going on down there.

On ASU: They got something really good going on right now."

On MSU: "They have a good program and a lot of thing to offer a student-athlete."

On Nebraska: "I have been doing some research on them and I really like what I have found."

On UCLA: "I really liked the school when I visited. I want to get back and meet the coaching staff because they were not there when I went."

On UW: "I had a really good visit when I went up there."

Young (6-1 205) rushed for 1,696 yards and 17 TDs, made 89 tackles and 5 sacks and was named 1st team all-section on both sides of the ball.
