Bolden Ruled Ineligible

SEP. 12 -- Jonah Bolden was ruled a partial qualifier by the NCAA, which means he can't play this year...

Power forward Jonah Bolden was ruled a partial qualifier by the NCAA today, which will make him ineligible to play this year.

The ruling by the NCAA will allow Bolden to remain on scholarship at UCLA. He is not, however, cleared to practice with the team as of yet.

Bolden was expected to compete for time at both the power forward and small forward spots this year. With his ineligibility, UCLA is down to just ten scholarship players next year (Isaac Hamilton, Norman Powell, Bryce Alford, Noah Allen, Wanaah Bail, Kevon Looney, Gyorgy Goloman, Tony Parker, Thomas Welsh, and graduate transfer Jon Octeus, who has not yet enrolled in school).
