UCLA Official Release:

LOS ANGELES – The top-rated high school quarterback in the nation, Josh Rosen, has signed with UCLA, head coach Jim Mora announced Monday. Rosen, a 6-4 quarterback from St. John Bosco will begin classes on campus at the start of the winter quarter.

Rosen, a five-star recruit by Scout.com, leads a St. John Bosco team that is currently ranked No. 1 in the country by USA Today and finished the 2013 season with an unblemished 16-0 record and CIF State Open Division Bowl title.

Entering the 2014 campaign, the Bellflower, Calif., native has thrown for 5,287 yards and 61 touchdowns over the course of his prep career. Last season, the signal-caller completed 68.6 percent of his passes for 3,200 yards while adding 39 touchdowns to just seven interceptions.

BRO Note: Rosen is enrolling early to be more able to seriously compete for the starting quarterback position in 2015. By enrolling for Winter, he'll be in school for a quarter before spring practice starts, as opposed to coming in for Spring Quarter, in which he would enroll only a day before starting spring practice.
