Stanley Norman is one of the region's top two-way standouts and is making an impact at receiver and corner for the Cavs. He's being recruited as an athlete by just about every school on his list with only a few specifying if they want him for offense or defense.
As for the schools on his short list, Norman has made a lot of changes since last spring. The first visit he locked in was to Washington State, a school he barely mentioned during the summer. He'll visit Pullman (Oct. 4). His next visit is with another school that was barely on his list the last time we spoke with him.
"I'm going to Louisville (Nov. 29)," Norman said. "They were actually always on my list, I just never mentioned them before. They have been recruiting me hard for a while though and throughout this process, I've always said the schools that show me the most love are the ones I'm going to show love back.
"I haven't set up my last three trips yet but I have a few schools in mind. I'm looking at Utah and maybe visiting with Deontay (Burnett). Arizona and California are still there along with Fresno State, Alabama, UCLA, Washington and Alabama. UCLA is kind of back in it and I've been talking to Coach Mora. It's good to have that local option but I don't have a leader right now and I'm still open to everyone."
As for a timeline for his decision, Norman says that's up in the air as well.
"It depends on how the trips go," Norman said. "I don't have a set time when I want to do it. If I know, it could be at the Army AA game but if not, it could be closer to Signing Day. I'm not going to rush anything, just going to take my time and try and find the best overall fit for me."
