2016 Athlete Commits at Game

An elite 2016 prospect that just received a UCLA offer Thursday night doesn't take long to commit...

Michael Pittman, the 6-4 athlete from Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian, verbally committed to the coaches at the Rose Bowl before the game with Utah, according to sources close to the family.

Pittman was offered by UCLA Thursday night, and said that it was his "dream offer."

He had offers previously from California and Washington.

When UCLA offered him Thursday he said that it was tempting to commit, but that he would probably wait a while, which evidently meant two days.

On Friday, after he had been offered, he told Scout.com's Greg Biggins: "I called up Coach Angus (McClure) and Coach (Eric) Yarber and talked to both of them and they told me I had an offer. It was literally the best day of my life, I was in shock."

We'll have more on the story and quotes from Pittman coming soon...
