Dallas (Texas) Skyline four-star receiver Carlos Strickland will take his first official visit this weekend and it will begin a stretch of four consecutive weekend's of official visits.
Strickland will alternate between Texas and California the next four weeks.
And a decision should come shortly after the last trip to UCLA.
"I'll probably announce my decision between November 3rd and 8th," said Strickland.
Strickland said he still remains pretty open with the schools he's considering.
"I don't really have a favorite and I'm still open between all the schools," said Strickland. "I think it's hard to name a favorite without visiting all the schools and really having a good feel so I'll know more after my trips."
But Strickland did say his relationship is strong with two of them.
"I'd say UCLA is recruiting me the hardest. Coach (Adrian) Klemm and Coach (Eric) Yarber hit me up all the time and I just have a good relationship with them," said Strickland. "Coach Yarbs came to watch me play two weeks ago so that was real cool.
On the head coaching side, local school TCU is home to the head coach he's tightest with.
"And of the head coaches, I probably have the best relationship with Coach (Gary) Patterson at TCU. I can get up there and when I do, we really get along well."
Strickland was at TCU on Saturday when the Horned Frogs beat Oklahoma.
"It was a great atmosphere and a lot of energy," said Strickland. "They played really well."
Strickland said he's looking forward to the visits he'll take the next few weeks.
"It will be exciting to get to take them and see the schools really closely and find which schools fit me best," said Strickland.
