UCLA Commit to Visit This Weekend

OCT. 9 -- Honolulu (Hawaii) St. Louis offensive lineman Fred Ulu-Perry committed to UCLA over the summer and will take his official visit to Westwood this weekend. He also has plans to visit another Pac-12 school...

Fred Ulu-Perry is ranked No. 217 in the Scout 300 as well as the No. 1 center prospect in the country. He had a great spring/summer where he was the OL MVP at the SoCal NIKE Camp and was very impressive at The Opening as well.

Ulu-Perry has a nice combination of quickness, strength and toughness. He's about 6-2, 305 pounds, is very tough to move around, has great feet and is equally strong in pass protection or run blocking. He was recruited to play center but could easily play guard and plays tackle for his St. Louis squad.

On the recruiting front, Ulu-Perry committed late in the summer to UCLA and is planning a couple of Pac-12 official visits.

"I'm going to UCLA this weekend and then I'm going to visit Oregon State for the Civil War game (Nov. 29)," Ulu-Perry said. "I'm solid with UCLA and I message with Coach Klemm every day. That's my guy and UCLA is my school, I'm not changing but I want to take some trips.

"I said at the time I committed that I wanted to take a few visits and Oregon State was my No. 2 school before I committed to UCLA. This will probably be the only visit I take. I like Coach Cavanaugh at Oregon State a lot but like I said, UCLA is my school and I really love it there."
