UCLA Moves Up with Kirk

OCT. 10 -- Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro receiver prospect Christian Kirk took his second official visit over the weekend to Auburn, and also talked about how Jim Mora's personal recruiting has improved UCLA's chances...

Christian Kirk is the top receiver prospect out West and a tremendous talent. He has a very nice skill set and you can move him all over the place to take advantage of mismatches. In terms of his frame and playing style, there are some definite similarities with current Seahawk and former Florida Gator athlete Percy Harvin and Kirk should be able to make an early impact in college.

Kirk just visited Auburn over the weekend, you can read about what he thought about his trip right here- Auburn recap. The receiver visited Texas A&M back in September and just set visit No. 3 last week.

"I'm going to UCLA (Nov. 1) for the Arizona game," Kirk said. "UCLA has moved up a little bit, they have been recruiting me hard for a long time and Coach Mora was at my game a few weeks ago so I'm looking forward to getting down there for a visit. I've been there before on unofficial visits but I'm looking forward to doing my official there."

Kirk is still setting his visit to USC but has made a change on where his last official visit will be.

"I'm still working on getting that visit to USC locked in," Kirk said. "I was looking at the Notre Dame game late in the year but it's not set in stone yet. My last visit will now be to Arizona State. I won't be doing Ohio State any more. I'm just tired of the travel so my last three will be close to home.

"ASU will be a fun visit and I know so many people there already so UCLA, USC and ASU will be my last visits. Right now, I'm still open to everyone. I know there has been a lot said about me being a big lean to Texas A&M but honestly, that has been a little exaggerated.

"Don't get me wrong, I like them and fit in well in that offense, but I'm not leaning anywhere, I like all five of these schools I'm visiting. I still don't have a set timeframe for when I'll commit, after my last visit, I'll sit down with my family and evaluate everything. I'm graduating early so it will be in December at the latest, that's about all I know on that right now though."
