In a rematch of the CIF-SS Pac-5 Finals from a year ago, the Braves again got the better of the Monarchs to win their Trinity League opener. UCLA quarterback commit Josh Rosen was 14-for-23 for 201 yards and a touchdown and ran for a touchdown. 2016 target Sean McGrew ran for 119 yards and a touchdown in the win.
Fresno (Calif.) Clovis North def. Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West, 32-0
Clovis North got a big night from running back Bolu Olorunfunmi, the UCLA commit, who ran for 202 yards and three touchdowns in a surprisingly easy shutout win, a week after replacing their defensive coordinator.
Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian def. Thousand Oaks (Calif.), 35-19
New UCLA commitment Michael Pittman had four catches for 68 yards and a touchdown, had five tackles and an interception, which he returned 50-yards for a touchdown and had 158 yards on kick returns, including a 96-yard touchdown, in his first game as a Bruin verbal.
Capistrano (Calif.) JSerra def. Santa Margarita (Calif.), 35-28
Santa Margarita quarterback K.J. Costello was 20-of-37 for 284 yards with an interception and two touchdowns but JSerra pulled off the stunner, winning their first Trinity League opener in five years.
Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou def. Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha, 47-7
Kamehameha jumped out to a 7-0 lead, but then Punahou, which features UCLA targets Semisi Uluave and Canton Kaumatule, scored the next 47 points to remain unbeaten. The Buffnblu had 442 yards in offense in the win.
Long Beach (Calif.) Poly def. Long Beach (Calif.) Jordan, 51-10
UCLA recruit Joseph Wicker had his first double-digit tackle game, with 11 tackles and 3.5 for loss. UCLA recruit Iman Marshall had a touchdown catch and 2016 UCLA recruit Jack Jones had 54 yards receiving and an interception.
Anaheim (Calif.) Servite def. Orange (Calif.) Lutheran, 28-25
The Friars won on a field goal with 10 seconds left and knocked off the Lancers by three. Both Osiris St. Brown and Equanimeous St. Brown had touchdown catches from Travis Waller and linebacker Jack Savage forced a safety. UCLA target Keisean Lucier-South had a sack in the loss.
Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman def. Las Vegas (Nev.) Durango, 77-0
A 56-0 halftime lead had Gorman calling the dogs off early. UCLA commit Alize Jones had three catches for 38 yards and a touchdown, Bruin target Cordell Broadus had a 10-yard touchdown catch and 2017 four-star quarterback Tate Martell was 5-for-7 for 69 yards and the two touchdown passes to Jones and Broadus.
Upland (Calif.) def. La Verne (Calif.) Damien, 44-14
UCLA linebacker commit Josh Woods ran for 89 yards on nine carries and had a touchdown, added a pair of catches for 27 yards and had three tackles, all for loss, and a sack in the win. 2017 recruit Nathan Tilford added 55 yards on seven carries in the win..

In his first game of the season, UCLA commit L.J. Reed had nine catches for 118 yards in the loss.
Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy def. Tallahasse (Fla.) Godby, 28-13
UCLA linebacker commit Victor Alexander had 11 tackles and a pass deflection to help TCA cruise in their tune-up for IMG Academy next weekend.
Manvel (Texas) def. Pearland (Texas) Dawson, 62-35
UCLA defensive back commit William Lockett had a big night, with a pair of interceptions, one he took back for a touchdown.
Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton def. West Jordan (Utah), 66-26
UCLA linebacker recruit Osa Masina had nine tackles and added 62 yards in offense in a blowout win.
Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde and UCLA offensive line commit Tevita Halalilo topped Moreno Valley (Calif.) Valley View, 49-0. DeSoto (Texas) and UCLA commit Bryce English topped Mansfield (Texas), 49-21. Los Angeles (Calif.) Windward and UCLA commit Breland Brandt were blown out by Calabasas (Calif.) Viewpoint, 55-7. Honolulu (Hawaii) St. Louis and UCLA commit Fred Ulu-Perry had a bye as did Herriman (Utah) offensive lineman and UCLA verbal Andre James. Lakeland (Fla.) Christian running back T.J. Simmons is out for the season with a broken leg and sat out their 38-7 win over Williston (Fla.). San Leandro (Calif.) athlete Stephen Johnson is out indefinitely with a foot injury and missed the 33-9 win over Berkeley (Calif.).
