VIDEO: Odighizuwa on Edge Containment

Nov. 3 -- Defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa talks about edge containment and why it was so much better against Arizona...

Owamagbe Odighizuwa talks about the defensive effort:

On if this was a game the defense needed:
Yeah, definitely a statement game for us to show everybody what our potential is and what we need to be playing. Every team we play has talent and we'll make mistakes here and there but if we can start improving off this performance, we'll be fine.

On if they could tell they made Anu Solomon uncomfortable:
Yeah, definitely, we put pressure on him, he moved around in the pocket all night. We missed some opportunities to get more sacks, but we tried to capitalize on as many as we can. It was a very good night for us.

On if he had any in mind:
I tried to make all my opportunities, but everytime I was there, he scrambled around in the pocket.

On the key to edge containment:
We knew their game, it was very simple. They like quick gains and to get the ball out quick. Solomon probably didn't like what he saw in coverage. And we added pressure and made him very uncomfortable. Hopefully, we'll keep building on that. Teams are going to probably keep more guys in the pocket to protect.
