Scouting Jeff Holland

NOV. 4 -- We break down the nation's #7 outside linebacker -- Jeff Holland from Jacksonville, Florida -- with recent highlights and analysis...

Prospect: Jeff Holland
High School: Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian
Position: Linebacker
Ranking: #80 Nationally, #7 Outside Linebacker
Recruiting: It's believed that Auburn is the leader for Holland, and that UCLA and Florida. He visited Auburn in early October, He grew up a Florida fan, but UCLA has been recruiting him hard, and he expects to visit UCLA November 22nd, for the USC game.

Evaluation:
I saw Holland a few weeks ago and the 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker had a nice overall game against a really good IMG team. They may have the top offensive line in the nation from one side to the other. Holland, who plays defensive end, was battling offensive tackles Mirko Jurkovic (Nebraska commitment) and Tyree St. Louis (Miami commitment). He won some and lost some. Holland did post a sack against Jurkovic.

Holland is big, long, fast and athletic. On this night his versatility really stood out. Holland also played running back and had several nice runs. He also played tight end and caught a pass.
