VIDEO: Perkins on 1,000

NOV. 6 -- UCLA running back Paul Perkins spoked about gaining 1,000 yards on the season and how good his offensive has been...

Paul Perkins answered questions from the media during Washington week.

On going over 1,000 yards:
Its a great accolade to have under my belt but the offensive line does a great job of blocking up front and I couldn't ask for a better group of guys.

On offensive line love:
I have to give all credit to them because they're the ones making the blocks.

On what he thought when he went over the 1,000 yard mark:
I honestly didn't know until I got to the sideline and someone told me.

On if it was an offensive lineman:
I think so. They're counting. They know my stats better than I do.

On if his linemen want gifts for him going over 1,000 yards:
Yeah, I don't know if I can do that for them. I don't have the money to do that.

On if he and Brett Hundley have a competition to see who'll run for more yards each week:
I guess I'll have to make it like that. He did a great job on Saturday. I'm really proud of him.

On if the offense does more whan Hundley is that running threat:
Yeah, they have to account for him. That makes us versatile and more explosive.

On what it does for him when they use the screen pass:
I love them. It gets me in to space and going one on one with a linebacker and a DB and you make them miss and its more yards.

On if its more in the game plan to use him on swing passes:
Probably.

On his favorite offensive lineman:
I don't have a favorite. They're all my favorite.

On who the funniest lineman is:
That's a good question. Probably Simon Goines.

On Washington's defense:
I know they have Shaq Thompson and he's really good.

On what Thompson did last year:
I remember him playing in the box a lot, leader of the defense and a good form tackler. He brings a violence to the team.
