Carmichael (Calif.) Jesuit 2016 four-star running back Beau Bisharat (6-2, 203) is up to a half-dozen offers now, with five of them coming from the Pac-12.
“Utah is my most recent offer,” said Bisharat.
Cal has been recruiting Bisharat the hardest.
“I’d definitely say that Cal has been recruiting me the hardest,” said Bisharat. “I’ve been to a couple of games there this year already.”
A number of other schools are recruiting Bisharat too and the contact with them has accelerated.
Bisharat is planning a trip down to the Southland, and it could happen this fall or it could wait, depending on how Jesuit’s season goes.
“I want to get down to Los Angeles and check out UCLA and USC, but it depends on how deep we go in the playoffs,” said Bisharat.
Bisharat can play on either side of the ball, though his heart is at running back, but he’s open to wherever schools want him.
“I’m getting recruited mostly as an athlete but I don’t really know yet what I’m going to play,” said Bisharat. “I like having the ball in my hands, but it doesn’t matter if I need to play linebacker, I can do that to.”
Bisharat really emerged in the spring when he won the RB MVP honors at the Oakland NFTC.
He’s carried that momentum into his junior season.
“I have about 1,300 rushing yards and around 25 touchdowns and I’m averaging 10.1 yards a carry this season,” said Bisharat. “I’m weighing about 203 and want to get up to 215 but I want to keep my speed.”
In the spring, Bisharat will return to the 7v7 circuit and play with the TMP All-Stars, playing in the slot and possibly playing some defense this year.
Jesuit has one more regular season game, against unbeaten Sacramento (Calif.) Grant before starting the CIF-SJS playoffs next week.
Academically, Bisharat has a 3.4 GPA and will take the SAT and ACT in the spring.
