T.J. Simmons is one of the most exciting and explosive prospects from the Sunshine State in the Class of 2015. This running back prospect from Lakeland (Fla.) Christian high school has committed to UCLA.
Simmons, 6-foot-0, 205-pounds, has had his share of adversity to deal with over the last few years. In the first games of his sophomore and senior seasons he suffered season ending injuries. In the 10th grade it was an ACL and earlier this year it was a broken ankle.
It’s a shame because Simmons was poised to have a monster season. Still, he’s one of the most sought after running backs from Florida.
Below, Simmons talks about his injuries, his game and his decision to attend UCLA. Off camera Simmons admitted that he will still make two additional official visits to Florida and Ohio State. He plans on visiting the Bruins next weekend (11-22).
