VIDEO: Lucien on Three-Peat

Nov. 22 -- Wide receiver Devin Lucien talks about the significance of beating USC for a third straight time...

Devin Lucien after USC:

On being able to enjoy the win yet focus on the next game:
USC is a big game but our main focus is to get in to that national championship bracket to go to the playoffs. So the next focus is on Stanford and we play them on Friday. We have practice tomorrow. That's the focus now, getting back to work.

On scoring a touchdown for his mom:
Finally. Its been a while since I've been in the end zone. My mom is going through a lot. Me not being as productive as I thought I would be coming in to the season, its been an extra weight on her, because she sees me frustrated, but I know she was screaming at home. I thank you for that question.

On if he could sense USC getting frustrated:
I don't care what USC was going through. I was just trying to do my part to make them feel even worse. Just like the rest of our team. They're a great team and I'm glad they came out and played the way they did.

On winning three straight over USC:
It feels good. I can kind of say I never lost to USC, because I redshirted that one year. Three straight is good. What can they say? The media was bashing us. Some of their team was bashing us. You've got to stop. At some point you've got to stop.

On USC huddling at the logo:
They always do that. I just think, 'why you always doing that'? We're over that. I don't know why they do that. Its annoying.

On Sam Handler standing at the logo:
Sam's kind of buff, they might have been scared of them. I'm happy he did that. I'm tired of them always going on our logo. I guess its part of the rivalry.

On what the win says about UCLA:
I think it says we're a very resilient team. Going in to this game, there were a lot of people who had us losing for whatever reason. I'm just glad we were able to come out and come out with the W.

On some crazy things that Vic the Brick said:
Thank you, I don't know what to say.

On what the win means to an L.A. kid:
When I was growing up, my family was kind of on the SC side. To win against SC and be on top of UCLA is a really good feeling. You always see SC stuff around. To finally get a third win over them and establish ourselves as a force to be reckoned with is a great feeling.
