VIDEO: Odighizuwa on Disappointing Loss

Nov. 29 -- Defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa talks about the blowout in his final home game...

Owamagbe Odighizuwa after Stanford:

On emotions after the loss:
Obviously, I'm very disappointed. Disappointed in how we started. Stanford played well, but for it being our last game in the Rose Bowl, we could have come out with a lot more.

On what contributed to that:
They just out-executed us in their game plan, more consistent for four quarters. Our guys were ready to play, and we didn't focus in enough on our assignments and executing those.

On what Mora said after the game:
Obviously he's disappointed, we're disappointed. But we have one more game together, a bowl game, wherever that may be, play in it for each other.

On if they feel they squandered the season:
You could say that. We had high expectations and we didn't meet it. I don't think the season was squandered. In a lot of ways, we played together and built a sense of fighting until the very end. As a program you want to see that. I'm excited for our guys moving forward, their best football is still to come. Being a leader and a senior, its something I'll always cherish.

On what they play for now:
A bowl game, a tenth win and for each other.
