Offensive Player of the Year: Marcus Mariota, Oregon
The frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy, the Hawaii native has been sterling as a junior. Mariota has thrown for 3,783 yards and 38 touchdowns, ran for 669 yards and 14 touchdowns and even caught a touchdown pass. He helped the Ducks to the Pac-12 title and a spot in the Rose Bowl in the College Football Playoff Semifinal.
Defensive Player of the Year: Scooby Wright, Arizona
The former two-star, "TwoStarScooby" as he's known on his Twitter handle, was the heart and soul of Arizona's defense. He had 89 tackles, 27 for loss and 14 sacks, and helped the Wildcats to the Pac-12 South crown and a spot in the Fiesta Bowl.
National Coach of the Year: Gary Patterson, TCU
In his 15th season in Fort Worth, Patterson may have done his best coaching job. It was his ninth 10-win season with the Horned Frogs, but doing it in the Big 12, especially after a four-win season, was a crowning season for him. The Horned Frogs will play in the Peach Bowl and were in the discussion all year for the college football playoff, just a season after going 4-8.
