Wanaah Bail, the 6-8 sophomore post, was ruled academically ineligible and will miss the remainder of the season.
Bail did not travel with the team to Alabama for its game with the Crimsom Tide Sunday.
He was deemed ineligible after his fall quarter grades became official.
Bail was averaging 9 minutes off the bench for the Bruins, and 1.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. After being hyped as being the most improved player in the off-season, Bail hadn't proved it this season.
Perhaps the most significant in the development is that an already-thin UCLA squad just got thinner. The Bruins are down to 8 scholarship players for the remainder of the season.
