San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills cornerback Dechaun Holiday (6-2, 200), has yet to take an official visit, but the four-star will take three in a row next month.
Holiday will get it started by visiting Arizona State on January 16th.
The following weekend, he’ll head up to the Northwest and visit Washington the 23rd.
He’ll wrap it up with a trip to UCLA on January 30th.
And a decision will come on Signing Day.
“All three are recruiting me pretty evenly,” said Holiday. “I have a good relationship with all of the coaches. Coach (Chris) Ball and Coach (Todd) Graham are recruiting me for Arizona State, Coach (Jimmie) Lake and Coach (Chris) Petersen are recruiting me to Washington and Coach Meat (Demetrice Martin), Coach (Kennedy) Polamalu and Coach (Jim) Mora are recruiting me to UCLA. All of the head coaches and I have a good relationship too which I really like."
Holiday said each of the schools recruiting him like him specifically as a defensive back, but a chance to play receiver isn’t out of the question.
“I’m getting recruited mostly as a corner, but I could do a little receiver and I would do kick returning too,” said Holiday.
Holiday played some receiver on the first day of U.S. Army Bowl practices on Monday.
“There is a high chance I could play some receiver in college,” said Holiday. “I’m just trying to show colleges I can play more than just corner.”
The San Diego County resident said the experience in San Antonio has been enjoyable so far.
“It’s an honor,” said Holiday. “It’s such a prestigious game and to play with these great players means a lot. I think for kids from San Diego, they can look at a player like me at this event and know that it’s possible for them to go.”
