La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat 2016 receiver Tyler Vaughns was bumped to a five-star in the fall update for the 2016 class and is the top offensive prospect in the West in his class. Vaughns, who has been selected to the 2016 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, has 11 offers already and said the ones standing out to him the most are USC, UCLA, Oklahoma, Washington and Arizona State. Vaughns also said that Michigan is a school he's interested in now that Jim Harbaugh is their head coach.
Portland (Ore.) Douglass 2016 defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa is looking for his initial offer but said UCLA, Washington and Oregon State were the schools he's been talking with the most. His older brother, Owa, just finished his career at UCLA in the Alamo Bowl on Friday and Odighizuwa went to the combine before the game, where he watched his brother play.
La Canada (Calif.) St. Francis 2016 defensive back Avery Williams is hoping his first offer is closing in but in the meantime, he's been hearing from Colorado, Boston College, Arizona State, Cal and Iowa State and is hoping to hear more from the two local schools, UCLA and USC.
Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola 2016 athlete David Long has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Duke, Miami, Nebraska, New Mexico, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Washington State and said that Notre Dame and USC have also been talking with him. Long said early on, Washington, Duke, Cal, UCLA and Arizona State were the offers he's most interested in.
Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West 2016 receiver Darian Owens has double digit offers and the four-star thinks more could be coming. USC, UCLA, Oklahoma, UCLA, Notre Dame, Arizona, Cal, Oregon, Washington, Washington State and Mississippi State have all offered and he's also interested in Michigan, especially with the hiring of Jim Harbaugh. Owens said all of his offers are as an athlete, with Notre Dame the only one to say defense.
Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola 2016 athlete Jordan Riordan is still waiting for his first offer, but has been talking with Arizona and UCLA the most. Riordan can play on both sides of the ball but said receiver is his preference.
Covina (Calif.) Charter Oak 2016 running back Zion Echols has an offer from Washington State and is in contact with USC, UCLA, Washington and LSU. Echols said USC has picked up their interest in him of late.
Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola 2016 cornerback Myles Bryant has two early offers, from Colorado and San Jose State, with both schools having offered as an athlete. Bryant also has been staying in touch with UCLA, Arizona and Washington State the most and USC is also communicating.
