Coaches' Itinerary This Week

Jan. 19 -- Check out where UCLA's coaches will be this week as they head out for in-home visits...

Recent updates in bold.

Outside Linebackers Coach Mike Tuiasosopo is in Arizona to go to the basketball game of Cassius Peat Tuesday night.

Jim Mora, Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, Outside Linebacker Coach Mike Tuiasosopo and Defensive Line Coach Angus McClure were in Washington to see Benning Potoae Sunday, and Monday were Jacksonville (Fla.) to see UCLA-committed linebacker Victor Alexander, who just visited UCLA last weekend, and linebacker Jeff Holland.

Later Monday they then visited Georgia to see linebacker Roquan Smith, who will visit UCLA Jan. 30th.

Offensive Line Coach Adrian Klemm was in Oklahoma City Monday to see Josh Wariboko. Wariboko will then be in Los Angeles this week for the West Coast Bowl, and then it's believed he'll stop by UCLA for an unofficial visit.

Defensive Backs Coach Demetrice Martin will then meet up with Mora in Texas to see UCLA-committed DB Will Lockett.

A big group of coaches, including Mora, Martin, Klemm, wide receivers coach Eric Yarber and offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone will visit Texas WR prospect Carlos Strickland Tuesday. Strickland officially visited UCLA last weekend, and has a announcement date of Tuesday, Jan. 27th. He could still visit Texas.

Mora has already had in-home visits with Texas running back Soso Jamabo and receiver Ryan Newsome, so he can't see them on this trip.   Kennedy Polamalu and Yarber did see them Monday.

Quarterbacks Coach Taylor Mazzone has been in New Jersey to see 2016 quarterback prospect Jarrett Guarantano.  He also stopped by to see Clark.

Mazzone also stopped in to see the Florida receiver Ryan Davis, despite UCLA having very little chance with and it's even unlikely Davis will visit UCLA.

A big crew of the coaches visited Long Beach Poly Wednesday to see UCLA-committed DB Colin Samuel, DL Joseph Wicker and DB Iman Marshall.  They'll also be in the home of Wicker and Samuel Wednesday evening.

McClure visited UCLA-committed DE Rick Wade Wednesday.

Klemm will see OL Maea Teuhema in Texas, and then be in Hawaii to see UCLA-committed OL Fred Ulu-Perry and target Semisi Uluave.

A big group of coaches will be in the homes of DB Nathan Meadors and UCLA-committed DB Octavius Spencer on Thursday.

Monday and Tuesday, McClure was in Northern California.  He saw UCLA-committed receiver Stephen Johnson at his high school basketball game, and had an in-home visit with OL Kieffer Longson.  McClure will go by a few NorCal high schools to stop in on 2016 prospects, too.

McClure and Martin did not visit DT Kyon Clark Wednesday, as was planned.  We still believe that Clark's best-case scenario is that he gets offered a grayshirt opportunity. That will have to wait until UCLA finds out what happens with the other 3 or 4 DL prospects they're still recruiting.

There will undoubtedly be more in-home visits this week and we'll update them as we get news of them.
