Scout.com's recruiting experts look at five key official visits to Pac-12 schools this weekend...
With the final weekend left before Signing Day, the Pac-12 will host a number of key official visitors this weekend, both from the West and nationally.
Scout takes a look at these five key Pac-12 visitors.
Roquan Smith | LB | Montezuma (Ga.) Macon County
Visiting This Weekend: UCLA
The Skinny: Georgia
wants Smith, the No. 1 middle linebacker in the country, to stay close to home, but they'll have to weather his visit across the country this weekend when Smith visits UCLA. The Bruins have made a big impression on him and get their last chance to impress him, but Georgia still has the hometown advantage.
Chris Warren | RB | Rockwall (Texas)
Visiting This Weekend: Washington
The Texas four-star will visit Seattle this weekend, the same town his father, former Seahawks running back, played. Texas is trying to keep Warren in-state, even with being in the mix for Soso Jamabo, the No. 1 running back nationally. Meanwhile, Texas is trying to land one of it's biggest out-of-region targets in a long time and the city of Seattle should be buzzing this weekend with the Seahawks playing in the Super Bowl again.
Semisi Uluave | OL | Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou
Visiting This Weekend: California
The four-star has visited Oregon
and Texas Tech
and both still have a chance at him, but Cal gets the final visit and they're the closest to home of the three finalists. He also has a teammate, Kanawai Noa
, committed to Cal and he's been working on him for the Bears, just like another teammate, Canton Kaumatule
has for Oregon and a fellow Hawaiian, Breiden Fehoko
, has been for Texas Tech.
Joseph Wicker | DE | Long Beach (Calif.) Poly
Visiting This Weekend:
Wicker will announce his decision on Signing Day and its really down to Arizona State
and UCLA. He'll visit UCLA this weekend with his teammate Colin Samuel
, who's already committed to UCLA, and will be around a few other commits. Both the Bruins and Sun Devils have put up a fight for him, but the Bruins get the last shot at him.
Christian Folau | LB | Salt Lake City (Utah) East
Visiting This Weekend: Oregon State
Folau was once a Stanford
commit but opened things up and Wisconsin
had a good chance with him, Folau even leaning to the Badgers. But when Gary Andersen
took the Oregon State job and bringing Kalani Sitake
with him, that put the Beavers in the drivers seat for the Semper Fidelis All-American. Utah is also trying to keep him close to home, but the Beavers get the last visit.
