Devon Modster is one of the region's top quarterbacks with a lot of tools that project well to the next level. He has a big time arm, spins the football very consistently and is a plus athlete as well who can run around and make plays with his legs.
He really came in to his own last season and established himself as one of the top recruits in the '16 class. He can still get better in his ability to stay patient in the pocket and go through his reads and progressions but that will come. Physically, he's there and has a nice upside to him.
"My older brother Sean play receiver there so I was really excited about this one," Modster said. "I visited two years ago and I'm definitely planning to get out there for another visit later in the spring. I want to try and visit all the schools that have offered me plus UCLA, but I don't have any set dates yet."
Despite Modster's older brother Sean being just two grades ahead of him, they never played in H.S together. Sean played and starred at Mission Viejo while the younger Modster transferred from Mission to Tesoro following his freshman year.
"We've always wanted to play together, we're very close," Modster said. "He was excited for me when I got the offer from Boise State but at the same time, he wants me to go wherever I like and what's best for me so he's not pressuring me to follow him or anything.
"I'm looking forward to that visit though. Right now, I'm still in basketball season and then this weekend, I'll be in Vegas for the big 7 on 7 tourney. Next week is the NIKE Camp but after that, I'll be able to sit down and figure out some dates for visits."
