Pac-12 Preference for Parker

Mar. 5 -- The Pittsburg (Calif.) cornerback, Jordan Parker, has Pac-12 schools leading for him...

Pittsburg (Calif.) cornerback Jordan Parker (6-0, 185) was one of the top performers, regardless of position, at this past weekend’s Pylon Elite 7v7.

Its continuing a theme for one of the fastest rising prospects in the region, who owns double-digits offers.

Two of his offers, both from the Pac-12, are standing out with a few more Pac-12 schools right behind them,” said Parker.

Arizona State and USC are standing out,” said Parker. “And then UCLA, Washington and Cal. I’m definitely considering all of those schools right now.”

And Parker is hoping one more Pac-12 school joins the mix soon.

“I think Oregon is the closest and could be the next offer and that’s a school I really like a lot,” said Parker. “I’m going up to check out Oregon with Shurod (Thompson, his Pittsburg) teammate. And then I think we’re going to go check out Arizona State.”

Parker has already visited USC, where he was offered at their Junior Day, and countless trips over to nearby Cal.

UCLA is another school he’s hoping to get down to see.

“They’ve been recruiting me probably the hardest, both Coach Meat (Demetrice Martin) and Coach Angus (McClure), so we’re trying to see when I can get down there and take a visit but I want to see UCLA,” said Parker.

Parker said while he’s playing 7v7, he’s working to add more weight and towards being in peak shape when the Oakland The Opening Regional comes around in May.

“I’m going back to the Oakland Nike The Opening camp and then just doing 7v7 with Kenion Training and I’m trying to get some more weight,” said Parker. “By the season, I plan to be 195.”
