Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt 2017 cornerback Thomas Graham (5-11, 170) has four offers, with a pair of in-state Pac-12 schools the most recent to offer him.
“UCLA and Cal offered me most recently,” said Graham. “I’m pretty shocked. I thought I’d get an offer at some point, but not this soon. And to have Pac-12 offers is pretty big. My sister is going to USC to run track and she had 35 offers, so it’s a race that I have a ways to go but its nice to have some offers.”
The Bruin offer came last week.
“Coach Meat (Demetrice) Martin had been recruiting me for a while and was building a relationship with me,” said Graham. “He’s good friends with one of my coaches, they grew up together, and he looked at me and watched me and told me they were offering. I was shocked because UCLA is one of the schools I’ve been watching.”
Graham will join his Ground Zero teammates at UCLA for an unofficial visit next weekend too.
“Coach (Marcel) Yates and Coach (Andy) Avalos are recruiting me from Boise State. Coach Avalos saw me at a practice when they were recruiting Evan Tyler and that’s when I got my offer,” said Graham. “Coach (Sharrieff) Shah offered me from Utah. He’s close friends with one of my DB coaches from school and they offered me.”
The four-star thinks Colorado could be close to offering.
“The Colorado coaches said they’re going to meet with the coaches and discuss offering me,” said Graham.
Graham wants to run track in college and he’s one of the more accomplished runners in the state already.
“I definitely want to run track in college,” said Graham. “I run the 200m and the 4x200m. I rank No. 1 in the country for sophomores and I’m just .03 behind the leader. And I’m No. 32 overall for all 200m runners.”
