VIDEO: Toailoa at The Opening L.A.

Mar. 27 -- We have a few clips of the most-recent UCLA commit, Lokeni Toailoa, from a couple of weeks ago...

Recruiting:
Lokeni Toailoa’s recent verbal commitment was well-publicized. The nation’s #2-ranked inside linebacker has a close-knit family that are long-time USC fans, but Monday night at an announcement ceremony he put on a UCLA hat. Toailoa said he vacillated back and forth between UCLA and USC, even right up to the announcement, but ultimately felt he had to do what felt right to him. You have to give his family a great deal of credit for allowing that, too. UCLA did an excellent job of recruiting Toailoa, and it was pretty clear that it was where he wanted to be. Even with the hiccup of losing Linebackers Coach/Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich suddenly to the NFL, new Linebackers Coach Scott White and Defensive Backs Coach Demetrice Martin (who recruits the Inland Empire) were truly phenomenal in seamlessly maintaining Toailoa’s recruitment.
