VIDEO: Lucas at The Opening

Apr. 2 -- Watch Arizona athlete and UCLA offeree Chase Lucas work out at running back at the recent event...

Chase Lucas is being recruited as a running back, receiver and defensive back by a variety of different programs. At last month's The Opening L.A. he worked out with the running backs, and he looks good at running back on game tape, but he might be better suited to receiver or defensive back, given his body and type of athleticism. He has offers as an athlete from UCLA and most of the Pac-12, as well as Notre Dame and Nebraska. After The Opening L.A. he took an unofficial visit to UCLA and clearly loved it. He told us that UCLA, Oregon and USC would definitely be on a shortened list, and the hometown Arizona schools are going to be heavily involved. UCLA has some advantage here since it has a strong history at Chandler high school with Brett Hundley and Paul Perkins.

In the 40-yard dash in the video, Lucas ran a 4.65, which was a decent time for the day.
