VIDEO: Tuioti-Mariner on Weight Gain

Apr. 9 -- Sophomore defensive lineman Jacob Tuioti-Mariner talks about the potential to move to tackle...

Jacob Tuioti-Mariner:

On his size:
I'm about 270, 275. I was at about 260 so I gained about 10-15 pounds. Offseason working with Coach Alosi, he made me focus on gaining that weight and being able to stay athletic.

On his comfort level:
Last year I had a great opportunity to play off Owa, and watch him. He showed a great example to learn off of. Now we're taking the opportunities and doing the best we can.

On his spring goals:
I want to be more physical. I believe I was still at the high school level, the little puppy still learning. I'm trying to work on my physicality.

On moving inside:
I could move from all positions, from nose to tackle to end. I'm not worried about anything. If I do that, so be it. Hopefully I can help the team.

On the coaches liking his versatility:
Its great to have coaches feel like that, and its my turn to help live up to the potential they see me at.

On if Tom Bradley's arrival has changed things for him:
No, not really, he's just here to be that defensive coordinator and input and change the defense.
