It was the first of consecutive weekends that Jackson will be in the Southland.
Jackson wrapped up his trip in Los Angeles at UCLA.
“UCLA was a good trip,” said Jackson. “I got to watch practice next to Coach Meat (Demetrice Martin) and see the drills, the way they were moving and the swagger they play with.”
Jackson also toured the UCLA campus.
“The campus was great and on our tour, we saw a lot of the history,” said Jackson. “They showed me all the different things, from movies shot on campus to their famous steps.”
Jackson also got to sit down with head coach Jim Mora.
“My step dad and I sat with Coach Mora and had a one-on-one with him,” said Jackson. “He wanted to make sure I met every coach. They all fight over me and go back and forth with what they want me to play.”
Jackson said defense, though, is where they really want him.
“Coach Meat and I have a great relationship and he is one of my favorite coaches recruiting me because he always keeps it real,” said Jackson. “Coach Meat and Coach Angus (McClure) are coming up to the school soon.”
Jackson works with True Grit Sports in Elk Grove, where Marcus Rios trains in the offseason.
“Marcus and I stay in contact all the time and he’s always talking about UCLA with me,” said Jackson.
Jackson also visited USC over the weekend and he’s hoping to see Washington in the near future.
This weekend, he’ll visit USC again and take in UCLA’s Spring Game at the Rose Bowl.
On Sunday, he’ll play in the Passing Down Best of the West with TMP Elite.
Next month, Jackson will be at The Opening Oakland Regional.
