St. Brown Earning UCLA Interest

Apr. 28 -- Anaheim (Calif.) Servite junior wide out Osiris St. Brown will be one of the top prospects in the West Coast class in two years and is already receiving big time national offers...

Osiris St. Brown is one of the three pass-catching St. Brown brothers in the family. His older brother Equanimeous signed with Notre Dame last February and Osiris is already nearing double digit scholarship offers .

St. Brown landed an offer from Notre Dame last January when the Irish were in for a home visit with his older brother.

"I'm going to visit Notre Dame and Northwestern this weekend," St. Brown said on Thursday. "We're actually leaving later tonight. My B2G travel team has a tournament out in Chicago so we're going to visit those two schools while we're in town.

"I have interest in both schools. It's funny, I've been talking with Northwestern for a while and one of the reasons they haven't offered is because they said they feel I might be a lock for Notre Dame. I'm definitely not a lock to go anywhere. I'm totally open to everyone and I'm going through the process giving every school the same, equal shot."

The Irish will obviously be a big player for St. Brown, as will Michigan, who just offered the receiver a few weeks ago.

"Tyrone Wheatley is the coach recruiting me from Michigan," St. Brown said. "We had been in contact but then I went to Germany and didn't have phone service. He had contacted one of my coaches who then called my dad. My dad told my brother to tell me to call Coach Wheatley right when I got home and that's when they offered.

"It was a great feeling because Michigan is a great school with great tradition. Coach Wheatley said he liked my film and the videos of me and my brothers working out on the jug machine. I'm planning to go to the Sound Mind, Sound Body camp this summer and I'm going to visit Michigan while I'm out there."

St. Brown recently visited UCLA and is hopeful an offer could be coming from the Bruins at some point.

"I got there right after practice and met up with Coach Yarber," St. Brown said. "We watched my film together and he was critiquing what he liked and some things I can work on. I also took a campus tour and it's really nice there. I talked with Coach Mora a little and I like UCLA a lot, an offer from them would definitely put them high on my list.

"I'm going to camp with UCLA, USC and Stanford this summer along with the Sound Mind, Sound Body camp. I'm sure I'll take a couple of unofficial visits too but I'm not sure where yet. It's still early for me so I'm just going to go through the process and ride things out. I'm open to everyone still and I'm not close to narrowing things down, I'll wait until next spring before I start doing that."
