Lynch Visiting UCLA This Week

May 4 -- Three-star quarterback Matt Lynch will take a two day visit to Westwood...

Broomfield (Col.) Legacy quarterback Matt Lynch, a one-time commitment to Colorado State, will visit UCLA tomorrow and Wednesday after the Bruins began recruiting him heavily last week.

"It's been really quick," Lynch said. "I just got in contact with Coach Taylor Mazzone a couple of weeks ago, who said he liked what he'd seen of me, and then last week, both he and Coach Noel Mazzone came out to see me throw. Ever since then I've been on the phone with him constantly, and he seems like a great coach, and same with his dad Noel. So now I want to head out to visit L.A. to see what campus is like."

Lynch, who's 6'5 and about 200 pounds, said he felt really good about his throwing session in front of the Mazzones, calling it "the best I've thrown in a while."

As for the visit, Lynch said that there are a few things he'll be looking for over the two day trip.

"I just want to see campus and see if I can be comfortable out there," Lynch said. "I haven't been to L.A. before, so that'll be cool to check it out."

He'll be hoping for an offer while he's on the trip, and the staff has given him an indication that there's a strong likelihood that could happen.

"If they offer me, which I feel they're working towards doing on the visit, I'm probably going to commit," Lynch said. "I was a big fan of Oregon growing up, but playing in the Pac-12 has always been a dream of mine."

Colorado State, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, and Oregon State are also recruiting the quarterback, but he says that once he makes his commitment to a school, he'll probably shut down his recruitment.
