2018 Introduction: Miles Norris

One of the top 2018 prospects on the West Coast comes from Chula Vista (Calif.) Mater Dei in power forward Miles Norris.

A lengthy four man who plays very hard, Norris is a high level rebounder whose production on the glass is particularly impressive given how much room he has to gain strength.

“I get rebounds, play defense and play hard every play,” Norris said. “That’s what I like to do. I’m working on getting stronger, boxing out and finishing better.”

Duke, UCLA, San Diego State, Georgetown and New Mexico are all showing Norris attention, while one school has already offered.

“Cal has offered,” he said. “I talk to coach (Yanni) Hufnagel a lot. I always check in with him. I know they got two top players in Jaylen Brown and Ivan Rabb so that’s cool.”

There’s one school that Norris grew up a fan of.

“I liked UCLA; that’s my dream school and I’ve always wanted to go there,” he said. “I like the players who have come out of there like Russell Westbrook.”

Norris is currently more worried about his game than recruitment but does have an idea of what he’ll be looking for in a school.

“Right now I’m just working on my game every single day but I’m looking for a good education,” Norris said.
