Adrian Klemm Reinstated

Jun. 19 -- UCLA offensive line coach Adrian Klemm has been reinstated. Klemm was suspended in March by UCLA...

UCLA offensive line coach Adrian Klemm has been reinstated, per a statement from a UCLA spokesman.

"Adrian Klemm has been reinstated to his role on the UCLA Football coaching staff and will resume his duties in full," the statement read. "UCLA continues to work jointly and cooperate fully with the NCAA to complete the review of the matters surrounding Klemm's suspension. To protect the integrity of the ongoing process, UCLA will refrain from further comment at this time."

Klemm had been suspended in March due to what UCLA termed "alleged NCAA rules violations." Since then, Klemm was unable to coach the offensive line in spring practice or participate in recruiting.

As mentioned previously, getting Klemm back prior to the UCLA Big Man Camp next week was critical. Since Klemm's suspension, the Bruins have fallen behind a bit in offensive line recruiting, with several local prospects committing elsewhere, so Klemm's return prior to the camp should allow him to evaluate prospects and potentially extend more scholarship offers.

The initial statement on Klemm's suspension in March read:

"UCLA was recently made aware of alleged NCAA rules violations involving Adrian Klemm, a member of the UCLA Football coaching staff. UCLA immediately reported this information to the NCAA and to the Pac-12 Conference and has placed Klemm on suspension with pay. UCLA will continue to work jointly and cooperate fully with the NCAA while this matter is being reviewed and to protect the integrity of the process, will have no further comment at this time."

There is no word yet on when the NCAA might complete its own review.
