Rowan Reclassifies to 2015

Jun. 22 -- The four-star prospect has long listed UCLA as a possible destination...

It's been rumored for quite some time that Maverick Rowan, a 6-foot-7 forward, would likely reclassify to the 2015 class.

On Sunday, Rowan confirmed those rumors and told Scout that he was currently enrolled in summer classes with the intentions of reclassifying up from the 2016 class to 2015.

Rowan, who has taken one official visit to Louisville, will take his second official visit to St. John's on Monday. Rowan's father -- Ron -- played at St. John's. After that visit, Rowan will head directly to Los Angeles to participate in the Nike Skills Academy.

"We haven’t scheduled any others right now," Rowan told Scout. "We are still cutting things down."

Rowan's list includes UCLA, St John's, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Lousiville and Wisconsin. He said he's technically down to four, but doesn't want to list which four yet.

In terms of making a decision, Rowan said he's not close.

"It’s not going to be for a while," he said. "Probably going to be towards the end of the summer."
