Bracey Wright: Will He Commit to Indiana Soon?

The shooting guard from Texas talks about his situation and how close he is to committing to Indiana...

There are some conflicting reports concerning Bracey Wright, 6-2 SR SG, The Colony (Tex.) High.

It has been reported for some time that Wright was leaning heavily toward committing to Indiana. But he has yet to commit to the Hoosiers. There are other reports that his family, his mother in particular, wanted him to go elsewhere, or at least look at other schools thoroughly before deciding.

There are reports that UCLA coaches have arranged an in-home visit with Wright next week and that he could be taking an official visit to UCLA this month.

When contacted last night, Wright, talked about his situation. He had just visited Indiana officially last weekend but said he didn't verbally commit. His mother accompanied him on the trip.

When asked if he's close to committing, Wright said, "The trip was real good. Indiana is definitely still leading. One of the reasons I hadn't committed yet was that my mom wanted to see the campus. We went up there and now I have to sit down with her and my coach and talk about it. I'm pretty happy about everything."

Does Wright intend to take any other official visits? "I don't have any other official visits set up. If it's not necessary, I won't," he said.

Wright indicated that his mother and coach had arranged some in-home visits. "My coach and my mom had some in-home visits set up, but I don't think I'll take them."
