***Game of the Week:*** Concord (Calif.) De La Salle vs. Anaheim (Calif.) Servite
De La Salle is led by four-year starter Boss Tagaloa, one of UCLA's most important targets as well as four-star tight end Devin Asiasi, who also plays defensive end for the Spartans. Two-way athlete Antoine Custer keys the Spartans running game. Servite has a talented 2017 crop, led by UCLA receiver target Terrell Bynum as well as Amon-Ra St. Brown. 2017 quarterback Tyler Lytle is replacing Oregon freshman Travis Waller and already has a few offers despite just a pair of starts. Defensively, 2017 four-star cornerback Keith Taylor anchors Servite's secondary.
Gardena (Calif.) Serra vs. Carson (Calif.)
Despite some graduation losses, Serra is still pretty stacked and they're headlined by UCLA verbal Oluwole Betiku , still in only his second year of football this season. Besides Betiku, UCLA is after two-way athlete Brandon Burton too. The Cavs also feature USC commit C.J. Pollard and San Jose State commit Blake Walls at linebacker. Their top youngster is 2018 four-star Merlin Robertson.
Corona (Calif.) Centennial vs. Orange (Calif.) Lutheran
Centennial is one of the favorites in the Pac-5 and they are loaded across the board, but no player is more high profile than four-star receiver Javon McKinley, who had a record-breaking 2014 season and now has UCLA on him more than they've ever been. OLu features Harvard-bound quarterback L.J. Northington and Oregon offensive line commit Logan Bathke, who UCLA offered, on offense and 2017 four-star safety Brandon McKinney, who UCLA offered on Thursday night.
Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman vs. Bellevue (Wash.)
Bishop Gorman is one of the premier teams in the country, and ranked No. 1 by Scout. They feature Texas A&M commit Tate Martell at quarterback, 2017 four-star receiver Tyjon Lindsey, four-star Arizona State cornerback commit Alex Perry, four-star defensive lineman Haskell Garrett, who is one of UCLA's top 2017 targets and safety Bubba Bolden. Bellevue, the alma mater of Myles Jack, had their six-year state championship streak end last year, but they still return a lot of talent, including four-star cornerback Isaiah Gilchrist, three-star tight end Isaac Garcia and three-star quarterback Justus Rogers.
Kapolei (Hawaii) vs. Ewa Beach (Hawaii) Campbell
UCLA committed offensive lineman Sean Auwae, leads Kapolei against Campbell HS of Ewa Beach.
Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty vs. Fresno (Calif.) Central
Krys Barnes, one of UCLA's earlier commits, looks to give Liberty their first win of the season when they face Fresno Central. Central features 2017 three-star cornerback Jaylon Johnson, the younger brother of UCLA cornerback Johnny Johnson as well as San Jose State defensive tackle commit Elijah Parks.
Rialto (Calif.) Carter vs. Riverside (Calif.) North
Carter features one UCLA commit and one UCLA target. Carter is led by the Toailoa brothers, UCLA verbal Lokeni Toailoa and his brother Leni Toailoa, who's a commit to San Jose State right now, but has UCLA heavily pursuing him. Lokeni was forced out of last week's game after being ejected from the opener.
Encino (Calif.) Crespi vs. Lawndale (Calif.)
A pair of UCLA commits and the son of a UCLA coach lead Crespi in 2015. While 2018 quarterback Hamish McClure, the son of UCLA defensive line coach Angus McClure gets more experience at quarterback, he'll have the luxury of handing the ball off to power back Jalen Starks, UCLA's committed big back in the 2016 class. Defensively, defensive end Marcus Moore, who will get to play for McClure and with McClure, leads the Celts.
West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade vs. Valencia (Calif.)
Chaminade will be led at quarterback by UCLA commit Dymond Lee. While Lee is one of the best receivers in the Southland, he'll focus on quarterback this year for Chaminade, the position UCLA will give him first shot at. Chaminade receiver Jordan Chin is an underrated prospect worth watching as well.
Broomfield (Colo.) Legacy vs. Fountain (Colo.) Fort Carson
UCLA quarterback commit Matt Lynch plays his second game of the season after leading Legacy to a win over their crosstown rival in the opener.
Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West vs. Turlock
Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak vs. Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde
Great Oak has a lot of talent in 2015, including UCLA commit Demetric Felton at running back, where he'll also line up in the slot and return kicks and punts to get the ball in his hands. Joining Felton is Arizona offensive line commit Bryson Cain and Navy commit Jake Schwarzer at linebacker. Rancho Verde, the alma mater of UCLA linemen Poasi Moala and Tevita Halalilo, was hit hard by graduation and the retirement of coach Pete Duffy.
Portland (Ore.) David Douglas vs. West Linn (Ore.)
UCLA commit Osa Odighizuwa and Douglas look to get their first win of the season against the alma mater of UCLA great Cade McNown. West Linn also is home to one of the top 2017 prospects nationally, four-star cornerback Elijah Molden as well as reigning Gatorade State Player of the Year, quarterback Tim Tawa, who's headed to Stanford to play baseball.
Los Angeles (Calif.) Windward vs. Los Angeles (Calif.) Animo
2016 four-star commit Breland Brandt and Windward get back in action after a bye week and take on Animo.
Torrance (Calif.) North vs. Beverly Hills (Calif.)
Another one of UCLA's main targets, Mique Juarez, currently committed to USC, takes on Beverly Hills a week after a monster performance in front of UCLA linebackers coach Scott White.
Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw vs. Los Angeles (Calif.) Hamilton
Crenshaw has UCLA target Marquis Lawson, who plays both receiver and defensive back and new Washington State commit Derek Moore on the defensive line. Hamilton has Cal committed quarterback Armani Rogers, who UCLA has offered and is still recruiting.
Westlake (Calif.) vs. Los Angeles (Calif.) Garfield
The Warriors have one of the nation's top receivers in Theo Howard, who UCLA is heavily pursuing since his decommitment from Oregon, and they pursued him even while he was committed. In the backfield, Westlake has running back Chase Jasmin leading the way in their first season under a new coach since the 1980's.
Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne vs. Palos Verdes Estates (Calif.)
Alex Akingbulu one of UCLA's offensive line targets, and the City Section's top-ranked team take on Palos Verdes Estates as they search for their first win of the season.
Los Angeles (Calif.) Hawkins vs. Playa del Rey (Calif.) St. Bernard
Hawkins has one of the best groups of young talent in the West, with 2017 five-star Joseph Lewis at receiver, four-star athlete Greg Johnson and four-star tight end Taariq Johnson as well as 2018 four-star Jalen Hall, all but Taariq Johnson holding UCLA offers and coached by former UCLA safety Milvon James.
Santa Margarita (Calif.) vs. Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey
Santa Margarita continues their season with an intersectional game against Dorsey. Stanford commit K.J. Costello runs the Eagles offense and now welcomes in receiver Dylan Crawford, his longtime 7v7 teammate, to the Eagles. Dorsey has 2016 prospects like running back Parie Dedeaux and two-way lineman Nahjee Flowers.
Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola vs. San Diego (Calif.) St. Augustine
UCLA has targets on both squads in this intersectional game. Loyola features Stanford commit David Long, the West's top cornerback who was at UCLA's opener as well as Myles Bryant, who plays opposite Long. St. Augustine boasts UCLA offensive line recruit Mike Alves.
Elk Grove (Calif.) Franklin vs. Petaluma (Calif.) Casa Grande
2016 four-star Lamar Jackson, one of the top safeties in the West, whom UCLA covets, leads Franklin in an intersectional matchup.
Hayward (Calif.) Moreau Catholic and long snapper commit Johnny Den Bleyker vs. Piedmont (Calif.). Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell Academy and UCLA tight end commit Jordan Wilson vs. Memphis (Tenn.) Hamilton. Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue (QC) John Abbot College and UCLA kicker commit J.J. Molson vs. Victoriaville (QC). Clovis (Calif.) Buchanan and defensive end target Bryson Young vs. Lemoore (Calif.). San Diego (Calif.) Mira Mesa and UCLA receiver target Steffon McKnight vs. San Diego (Calif.) Mt. Carmel.
