Kenny Young talked about the defensive performance against UNLV on Saturday, and how it felt to get a pick-six.
On the defensive performance:
We did pretty well. There are a lot of things we need to get fixed and eliminate some penalties. We're maturing into the defense we want to be.
On if they saw progress:
Its a stepping stone and we had to start somewhere. We definitely improved since last week.
On thinking shutout:
We just wanted to dominate, go for the shutout, the offense put up 37 points and we just worked our stuff and the two's got a lot of attention, guys that have never played.
On his pick-six:
It felt great. I'm still soaking it up. What happened was the quarterback tried to sprint out and break contain, and he tried to throw it to the running back. It was a reaction thing and I housed it from there. I had a pick-six in high school. I knew how to do it. It was so exciting because it was my first college pick-six and a great feeling. Now our attention turns to BYU and we'll transition to BYU.
