Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman defensive lineman Haskell Garrett is the West's top defensive end in the 2017 class and part of stacked Gorman 2017 roster.
The four-star, ranked No. 34 overall nationally and No. 3 at defensive end, was excellent against the vaunted Bellevue (Wash.) running game on Friday night, in the Gaels 35-7 win over the Wolverines.
Garrett played both defense and offense, lining up at goalline fullback, and had a short touchdown run.
But his biggest impact was on defense, where Garrett showed a quick first step, an ability to quickly shed blocks and take on double teams to routinely get into the backfield.
Garrett has offers from UCLA, one of his earlier offers, as well as from Texas A&M, where teammate Tate Martell is committed, along with UNLV, USC, Utah, Utah State, Washington and Washington State and will certainly add more between now and Signing Day 2017.
