UCLA DC Tom Bradley on Loss of Myles Jack

Sep. 23 -- UCLA Defensive Coordinator Tom Bradley talked about the loss of Myles Jack and Arizona...

On replacing Myles Jack:

We're going the next man up. That's our philosophy. We're going to develop and we've had some guys playing.  I know the guys are going to come in there excited for the opportunity.

On his versatility:

We have some people with some skill levels that can do some things that will be ok. Some guys who got some reps this week who adjusted pretty well.  It happened towards the tail end of practice and we have guys who are ready to go in and play.

On Jayon Brown:

Jayon is going to play the position Jayon plays.  He's a guy we feel very comfortable with what he's doing

On Ishmael Adams:

Ish can pla a bunch of places, in the slot or corner, he gives us some versatility on defense.

On how you talk to the team about Jack's loss:

You have to remember, if they're between 18-22, they're gonna go play and they want to play. They're going to be fired up. They're going to be exicted to play.

On scheming against a RichRod team:

Coach Rodriguez goes pretty quick. I've gone against him before and we're excited for the challenge.

On the difference between Rodriguez's offense at Arizona and Michigan:

They've expanded and they've done a good job.  I think one of the things, because of the personnel they've recruited, they're for their scheme. One of the things you see, because they've been doing it for a number of years, the familiarity with it.  You're able to move faster and move better.

On if they do anything bigger with a game of this magnitude:

We embrace the challenge. They've earned it. You can't hide it, they see it on television all day. Once the game starts, they get in to the game and play football.
