UCLA doesn't typically host too many players on official visits during the season but hosted seven over the weekend. Included in that group was Bruin commit Demetric Felton.
Felton is a talented running back who combines a burst, very good top end speed and the ability to make a defender miss in the open field. He rusn hard between the tackles as well but was recruited to play in the slot by the Bruins.
"My favorite part of the visit was being around the team on game day," Felton said. "It was cool getting an inside scoop of how they do things before the game and how they prepare. They go over their assignments the day before and the day of the game and blast crowd noise in to the room and simulate making calls to the linemen.
"The overall atmosphere during the game was great too. It was very loud in there, the fan base was ready to go for a great game. I really thought Josh (Rosen) was going to lead them 99 yards on that last drive, we all did actually. They started to figure things out late in the game but just ran out of time."
Felton visited UCLA previously but still enjoyed seeing more of the campus this time around.
"I got see the dorms this time around," Felton said. "There were a lot more students on campus this time around too so that was cool. Eldridge Massington was my host and the guys on the team were great to be around.
"I talked with Coach Yarber about my role in the offense and how I would be used. They want to use my speed in the slot and coming out of the backfield. They think I can make plays down the field so hopefully I can bring that to the table. Overall it was a great trip and my commitment is very solid. I don't plan on taking any other visits, that will likely be it for me."
