Isaiah Mobley hasn't begun his freshman season of high school at Temecula (Calif.) Rancho Christian, but the versatile forward already holds six scholarship offers.
The 6-foot-8, 190-pound 2019 prospect had an impressive summer playing with the Compton Magic AAU program.
Mobley can play with his back to the basket, as he has advanced footwork for his age, while he's also able to score with his jumper and impacts the game with his rebounding and passing. He has a high basketball IQ and motor.
"I'm very versatile; I can play the three, four and five," Mobley said. "I can shoot from the outside but can also go inside and post. I'm working on my physicality and athleticism. I want to jump higher and run faster."
Six schools have already offered Mobley, with the most recent one being UCLA after a Saturday unofficial visit.
"I was very excited and happy," Mobley said. "They are a top 10 educational school in the world and have produced some of the greatest players in basketball."
Mobley's first scholarship offer came from San Diego State.
"I really like the school," he said of the Aztecs. "My high school coach went there. I got an offer when I went to their team camp and enjoyed it there."
"I visited USC with my teammate Jules (Bernard) and enjoyed it there," Mobley said. "I'm happy ASU and Nevada offered me and Utah State is on me heavy."
It's early in Mobley's recruiting process, but he has an idea of what he'll be looking for in a school.
"I'd like a great education, great basketball team and a program that fits me well," he said.
