We had a chance to see Braves five-star offensive lineman Wyatt Davis in action last Friday and he once again showed why he's such a covteted prospect.
Davis has tremendous size and strength and moves incredibly well for a big man. He has been playing left tackle this season after playing on the right side as a junior but his best college position is probably as interior lineman. He's a road grader who plays with advanced technique and has the toughness and mean streak you have to have to excel in college.
On the recruiting front, Davis has been to multiple home games at Cal (older brother Davis plays) and USC and was at the UCLA game last week.
"UCLA looked incredible, especially up front," Davis said following the game Friday night. "Josh (Rosen) had a great game, he's a big time player and I'm very high on UCLA right now. I have a good relationship with Coach Klemm (UCLA OL coach) and it was cool to see him at my game tonight. We've been talking a lot since the summer when was re-instated and I really like him a lot."
Davis took a ton of unofficial visits over the summer and is hopeful of taking a few more during the season.
"I really want to get out and see some games but it has been hard because of my dad's schedule is pretty busy," Davis said. "I would love to visit Alabama, Michigan, LSU, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and a ton of others. I have a big list of schools so those are just a few of the school that I really want to go and check out.
"I'm going to a lot more trips in the spring again but the only date I have locked in right now is to Tennessee on April 16. My plan is to narrow my list heading in to my senior season and then take all my official visits during and after my senior year. I still have a long way to go because my list is so big but once I narrow things down a little, I think things will become a little more manageable for me."
