We've been saying it for over a year but there may not be any receiver out West with the upside of Theo Howard.
Howard is currently rated the No. 48 player in the nation and has all the tools to be a very special player at the next level. Everyone is looking for speed and Howard can absolutely fly.
After missing most of the spring 7v7 circuit with a leg injury, Howard lit up The Opening regional camp in Oakland where he not only clocked a 4.39-40 but flashed that same explosiveness in the position and one on one drills as well.
Howard has the ability to take a short hitch, make a couple of defenders miss and take it all the way to the house. He's also a pretty polished route runner and catches the ball well.
On the recruiting front, Howard will make his college announcement on Sunday and is looking at Texas A&M, UCLA and USC. He has officially visited the Aggies and Bruins with most feeling UCLA is the odds on favorite right now. Wherever he winds up, Howard is a player we expect to see the field early next fall.
