There will come a time when Lions quarterback Matt Corral will have offers from schools all over the country.
For now, the talented sophomore will have to settle for holding offers from the two local schools, UCLA and USC. The Trojans were first to offer Corral back in mid-October and the Bruins followed suit over the weekend.
"Taylor Mazzone offered me before their game last weekend against Colorado," Corral said. "It was so exciting because it was my first that I received in person. He offered me at the Rose Bowl during the pre-game so it was a really cool experience.
"I didn't get to talk with Coach Mora or anyone else but I'm planning to go and take a visit to to UCLA at some point. I actually thought they would be my first offer because they were showing me more interest than anyone but it was definitely a great feeling for sure."
Corral surprisingly isn't hearing from too many other programs other than the local schools right now. He's a tremendous talent with high level upside. He has a strong arm but can throw with touch and accuracy and is already an adept decision maker and never looks rattled.
He's an easy call as a national recruit and a top 100 player in his class.
