UCLA Watching 2017 4-Star QB Tristan Gebbia

Nov. 16 -- UCLA is keeping an eye on Calabasas (Calif.) 2017 four-star quarterback Tristan Gebbia...

Calabasas (Calif.) 2017 four-star quarterback Tristan Gebbia visited Washington this past weekend for an unofficial visit and by the time he left, he had is 11th offer.

"I had talked to Coach (Jonathan) Smith on the phone a couple of times and I felt like they had interest, so I wasn't totally surprised, but it is still a great blessing," said Gebbia. "I hadn't talked to Coach (Chris) Petersen yet so it was nice to have a brief meeting with him and to talk to him in person. I have heard really good things about him and I'm excited about the offer."

Gebbia said he enjoyed checking out the school and Husky Stadium.

"Washington was really nice and I'd like to go back again and see it a little more and talk with the coaches a little more," said Gebbia.

Gebbia now has offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Colorado State, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Nebraska, Syracuse, Washington, Washington State and West Virginia and thinks a couple more could be close.

"Oklahoma State, Florida State and Michigan State are talking with me more and I heard that UCLA is picking up interest in me and USC, will wait to see how things end up there," said Gebbia.

Gebbia was at the USC-Washington game earlier this year and could be visiting the Rose Bowl on Saturday for the UCLA-Washington State.

But now, further plans are on hold.

"Right now, visits are kind of coming up at the last second," said Gebbia.  "We just got our first round playoff game, so I'm thinking I'm focusing on my season now and play the best I can.  We have a lot of work to do but we want to win CIF."

Gebbia has already seen games at Alabama, Arizona State, Nebraska, USC, Washington and Washington State this year.

"It hasn't been hard to balance recruiting with my season, it's just more difficult to reach coaches when I have my school work and my season at the end of the day," said Gebbia.

Calabasas will host Oxnard (Calif.) Rio Mesa on Friday in their playoff opener.
